The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy-capacity forklifts to handle, load, and unload aluminum tubing, coil, and PVC pipe. This role ensures materials are accurately staged, transported, and loaded for production and outbound shipments while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Safely operate large forklifts to move aluminum tubing and PVC pipe within the facility and yard.
Load and unload trucks, trailers, and storage racks according to company guidelines.
Secure loads properly to prevent damage to materials and ensure safe transport.
Inspect forklift daily and complete required maintenance and safety checklists.
Work closely with shipping, receiving, and production teams to meet scheduling and order requirements.
Maintain accurate records of materials moved, loaded, or stored.
Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements.
Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including staging, banding, and organizing materials.
Other duties may be assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Proven experience operating large forklifts.
Experience handling long or heavy materials (pipe, tubing, or similar) preferred.
Strong attention to safety, detail, and load handling.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an outdoor/indoor industrial environment.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Warehouse and yard setting with exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
Requires adherence to safety protocols and use of PPE.
May involve working around moving machinery, heavy materials, and elevated noise levels.
